Another stabbing on a #Mumbai local train over a seat dispute is deeply disturbing. Just months after the killing of a college professor following a minor altercation, it reminds us how quickly petty disagreements can turn violent. Commuter safety must remain a top priority.

आज गिरगाव येथील गायवाडी, जे. एस. एस. मार्ग आणि खाडिलकर रोड समोरील परिसरात माझ्या प्रयत्नांतून उभारण्यात आलेल्या ३० सोलार लाईट्स व सौरऊर्जेवर आधारित पाथवे लाईट खांबांच्या उद्घाटन सोहळ्यास उपस्थित राहिलो. या उपक्रमामुळे परिसर अधिक सुरक्षित, प्रकाशमान आणि पर्यावरणपूरक होणार आहे. आज जगभरात सुरू असलेल्या भू-राजकीय घडामोडी, विशेषतः इराणमधील परिस्थितीच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर, ऊर्जा स्वावलंबनाचे महत्त्व अधिक अधोरेखित होते. सौरऊर्जेसारख्या अक्षय ऊर्जेचा अवलंब करून आपण आयात होणाऱ्या तेल आणि वायूवरील अवलंबित्व कमी करण्याच्या दिशेने एक महत्त्वाचे पाऊल टाकत आहोत. शाश्वत विकास आणि भावी पिढ्यांसाठी स्वच्छ, सुरक्षित आणि आत्मनिर्भर भारत घडविण्याचा हा सामूहिक प्रयत्न आहे. @mieknathshinde

In the pipeline for close to 10 years, DCM Eknath Shinde has asked Mumbai City Collector Aanchal Goyal to fast track transfer of 11 acres of Richardson & Cruddas land in Byculla to JJ Hospital. @milinddeora took up the issue with Shinde who is Guardian Minister for Mumbai City.

Mumbai’s recent tanker strike is a wake-up call. Water is an essential public service & no global city can allow its water security to be held hostage by private tanker operators. Until @mybmc builds a reliable public system, tanker operators must be strictly regulated.

I met #Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister @mieknathshinde Ji and sought his support for transferring the 11-acre Maharashtra Government-owned plot currently held by Richardson & Cruddas to J.J. Hospital, This expansion will significantly strengthen cancer care, advanced medical services, medical education & research. Most importantly, it will benefit the thousands of needy patients who travel to #Mumbai from across Maharashtra for affordable treatment.

आज वरळीच्या वॉर्ड क्रमांक १९३ मधील श्री. सूर्यकांत पाटील यांचा शिवसेनेत जाहीर पक्षप्रवेश पार पडला. मुंबई आणि महाराष्ट्रातील मूळ रहिवासी मोठ्या संख्येने वास्तव्यास असलेल्या या वॉर्डमध्ये पाटील यांनी अनेक वर्षे जनसेवा केली आहे. ते यापूर्वी उबाठा गटाचे शाखाप्रमुख होते. तसेच महानगरपालिका निवडणुकीत अपक्ष उमेदवार म्हणून निवडणूक लढवत त्यांनी सुमारे ६,५०० मते मिळवली होती. उपमुख्यमंत्री @mieknathshinde जी यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली लोकसेवा करण्याची इच्छा त्यांनी व्यक्त केली. तसेच दक्षिण मुंबईच्या विकासासाठी आणि जनतेच्या प्रश्नांच्या निराकरणासाठी माझ्यासोबत काम करण्याची तयारीही त्यांनी दर्शविली. त्यांची जनाधार असलेली कार्यशैली, संघटन कौशल्य आणि लोकांशी असलेला दृढ संपर्क लक्षात घेऊन मी त्यांचे पक्षात मनःपूर्वक स्वागत केले. त्यांच्या सहभागामुळे पक्ष संघटना अधिक बळकट होईल आणि स्थानिक नागरिकांच्या प्रश्नांना अधिक प्रभावीपणे न्याय देता येईल, असा मला विश्वास आहे.

Mumbai’s commuters deserve the highest standards of safety. In light of recent reports of BEST bus accidents, I have written to @myBESTBus Chairperson @officeoftrushna ji seeking a comprehensive review of wet-lease bus operations and stronger measures to enhance passenger safety. @mieknathshinde

आज दक्षिण मुंबई के कोलाबा विधानसभा अंतर्गत दाना बंदर क्षेत्र में जनता की सुविधा हेतु निर्मित शौचालय, जो लंबे समय से जर्जर अवस्था में था, उसके नूतनीकरण कार्य का शुभारंभ किया। स्वच्छता, स्वास्थ्य और नागरिक सुविधाओं को सुदृढ़ करना हमारी सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकताओं में से एक है। इस नूतनीकरण से क्षेत्रवासियों को बेहतर, सुरक्षित एवं स्वच्छ सुविधा उपलब्ध होगी। @mieknathshinde

Mumbai is likely to get something similar on the western waterfront as part of the proposed 170-acre Coastal Road Garden stretching from Breach Candy to Worli. That said, I completely agree that the eastern waterfront has enormous untapped potential. Happy to connect & exchange ideas.

आज मी @DrSEShinde जी यांच्या सोबत जळगाव दौऱ्यावर गेलो. या दौऱ्यात मंत्री @GulabraoRPatil जी, माजी खासदार @UnmeshBPatil जी, आमदार @KishorAppaPatil जी आणि आमदार @Amolpatilparola जी देखील सहभागी झाले. लोकांपर्यंत पक्षाचे आणि @mieknathshinde जी यांचे विचार व विकासकामे प्रभावीपणे पोहोचत असल्याचे पाहून अत्यंत आनंद झाला. याचे संपूर्ण श्रेय जळगावमधील पदाधिकारी आणि कार्यकर्त्यांना जाते, जे मोठ्या संख्येने या दौऱ्यात सहभागी झाले. त्यांच्या मेहनतीमुळे आणि जनसंपर्कामुळे पक्ष अधिक बळकट होत आहे.

I have nothing to do with that state, but this kind of bigoted thinking divides nations. Every state has produced heroes & criminals. Holding millions responsible for the actions of a few is prejudice. Judge individuals by their actions, not their birthplace.

A gentle reminder from the ocean: not everything needs to be rushed. 🌊✨

The images from today’s high-rise fire are a reminder that in skyscrapers, the first line of defence is the building itself until firefighters arrive. Functioning extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, alarms & trained occupants can contain a fire in its early stages. Municipalities must strictly enforce compliance & housing societies must regularly inspect & test these systems.
