I’ve been thinking about the value of music lately. You can talk all you want about your opinions on complexity, harmony, rhythms, etc. But the reality comes back to the art and the impact it has on others and the artists themselves.

Does it have an effect on you emotionally? Can you connect with it on a human level? Then it has value to you. If it has an effect on others, then it has value to them. That’s it. That’s music. That’s art. That’s creation. And it absolutely has value.

I’ve been taking violin lessons for a bit and one thing I’ve learned from experience is the “E” in E string stands for evil.
