The mercy of God is not a license to sin; it's a catalyst for sanctification. It's the kindness of God that leads us to repentance, not the fear of His wrath. Are you using His grace as a get-out-of-jail-free card, or as the fuel to live a life that honors Him? Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your immeasurable mercy, a mercy that is new every morning. We confess that we have at times treated Your grace cheaply, continuing in sin knowing we would be forgiven. Forgive us for this abuse of Your mercy. Today, we embrace Your mercy for what it is: the power to live a transformed life. Teach us to say 'no' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age. May Your mercy compel us toward holiness, not toward complacency. In the name of Jesus, our Mercy Seat, we pray. Amen. His mercy empowers you. Don't waste it.
