#FSU BOT Chair Peter Collins said the transfer portal system prompts player movement because agents profit when athletes switch schools.
“There is zero incentive for an agent today to have their client who is in the portal stay in the university they are at,” he said.
On April 30, the Florida BOG Task Force on Intercollegiate Athletics saw speakers discuss possible solutions for college sports — including agent certification rules and collective bargaining frameworks after professional leagues.

Men’s basketball saw 10 outgoing while 11 came in.

One #USF professor said the changes show a growing push by state leaders to limit how some topics like inequality are taught.

Maurer said the suspect — Hisham Abugharbieh — was roommates with Zamil.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Joeseph Maurer announced human remains were found under the Howard Frankland Bridge and identified as missing #USF doctoral student Zamil Limon.
Maurer said the investigation is ongoing.

#USF’s annual spring game saw 3,878 fans who watched the football team compete offense against defense in the shadow of the on-campus stadium.
“I really think it’s going to be the best stadium in the state,” USF President Moez Limayem said. “And one of the best in the country.”
As the late-afternoon sun settled over Corbett Stadium during #USF football’s annual spring game, the scene carried the feel of both a preview and a promise.

Long day for me today from Premier League Fan Fest this morning at 6 am to #USF’s spring game until 5:30 pm.
Spoke to tons of people at USF’s game, including Moez Limayem, Rob Higgins, some fans and even MVS. He even took pictures using our photographer’s camera.
