This is just brilliant. Seeing a room of approx. 100 people listening to a live Zoom conversation is highly informative academic entertainment at its best! #Robophilosophy2024
Side note: the topic of my BA thesis, that somehow started my academia journey, was Chalmers' paper on the singularity, so this is a really special moment. 😄
After what feels like aeons, we finally released a new blog post. This time we are taking a look at #brainuploads, #robots, #AI, and cats in the video game Stray.
Pleased to share. Text available in German and English. Have fun reading it.

If you are ever giving an introductory lecture on #AI, #AIethics or technology ethics, make sure to include this book by @SvenNyholm.
Highly informative, tackling the most important aspects of the discipline.
I can also highly recommend it to people new to the field. A must read!
ALT A book called This Is Technology Ethics: An Introduction, written by Sven Nyholm.
Networking event "Responsible AI". Full day of interesting projects and presentations about #AI, and #responsibility in a multitude of (social) contexts, e.g. elder care.
One small detail I absolutely love in the anime adaptation of #PLUTO is the placements of the memory chip slots for Atom and the older Gesicht, and the implications or interpretations that come with these placements.

Currently at a conference with various university representatives. When it comes to the topic of equal opportunities, around a third of those present leave. Last talk of the conference. I get that it was a long day. Still embarrassing to leave on such an important topic.
Surprisingly filled with (implicit) philosophical topics regarding consciousness, agency, and personhood in connection to artificial intelligence, hive minds & augmentation.
Very entertaining read.

Second night with a green space laser in sight, though the Witch King has not unleashed the forces of Minas Morgul ... yet.
Bonus points for the cloud effects!
Science is fascinating.
