This is the same tactic Trump used several years ago with Kim Jong Un in North Korea. Trump knows he is dealing with crazy people so he comes at them just as crazy, or even crazier, than they are. He's already demonstrated what the US can do to them. Now they are in a place where they just might believe he will do it.
