The Minneapolis City Council is being asked to approve 8% pay increases for MPD's appointed command staff, as well as giving them a way to exceed vacation accrual limits and cash out vacation time.

The Supreme Court upheld the Indian Child Welfare Act, a major win for tribal sovereignty. The question is whether we allow it to get this far again. A white family and a state, backed by powerful corporate interests, threw into question the status of tribal sovereignty.
U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and others are scheduled to hold a 10 a.m. news conference today where they’ll reveal the Department of Justice’s findings into whether Minneapolis police regularly violated the public’s constitutional rights.
