That the LDS teach this should be concerning.
Oh I’m not worried or confused at all, I’ve been told that prophets are Gods authority, if they mess up it’s not my problem when I follow them, that’s what God commanded me to do, he’s always spoken through prophets.

The Bible should be the only measure by which we know truth about who God is and what his plan is for us.

I figured out you weren’t Christians by reading my Bible.

Don’t let others tell you what God wants , read it for yourself. The Bible is the word of God.

Finally an honest take from a Mormon. Smith made up some stories to promote what he thought was truth . To say this about the Bible is to discredit Gods word.
Replying to @moak_ryan
Because there is truth in the Bible that teaches Gods word and I take that seriously. Do you believe all of the Bible is historically accurate? I don’t. In fact, I believe some of it is just stories. What if Joseph just wrote a story about Abraham? If he did, he sure was inspired with some beautiful doctrine. It’s not difficult for me to believe this scenario. I respect your views and you’re welcome to your opinion. This is mine.

Good work Jason
Here are my top ten reasons why Joseph Smith, Jr. was indeed a false prophet: 1. He was not an Israelite. Biblical prophets of the Lord were from one chosen nation, and here's a hint, it wasn't America. 2. He was a proven liar. He lied so often, he couldn't keep his stories straight and even perjured himself in the court of law. 3. The book of Hebrews clearly explains that in times past, God spoke through prophets, but in these last days He has spoken through His Son. We have everything the Lord needed to say to mankind already in the Holy Bible through his actual prophets and apostles. The Lord no longer uses living seers because the Holy Spirit was poured out onto all believers at Pentecost, and God now leads His people to the Truth on an individual basis. Only false prophets have arisen since Saint John the Revelator had passed, and there are too many of these wolves to number. Joseph Smith and Muhammad have been the most deadly of this sort. 4. Nothing Joseph Smith ever said was divinely inspired or even slightly profound. At best, sometimes he repeated things that had already been proclaimed in the Holy Bible. At his worst, he uttered nonsensical theological positions. 5. He kept his adulterous lifestyle hidden from his wife until he got caught, but even then denied any wrong doing. He even excommunicated those who came forward with the truth. He had an insatiable appetite for other men's wives and their young daughters. He was a highly immoral individual and kept many dark secrets. 6. Absolutely no authentic signs and wonders accompanied his ministry. God performed miracles wherever prophets and apostles would go, so His people would know there was a man of God amongst them. Joseph attempted many times to trick others into believing signs were happening, but his hoaxes, (like how he faked walking on water), were discovered each time. 7. He had many prophecies that failed. According to the Bible, only false prophets words do not come to pass, and it takes only one misstep to be deemed a false prophet. 8. He was a complete narcissist. God resists the proud, and I personally believe not one soul on earth boasted more than him. Even Goliath would have blushed at Joseph’s wild claims. 9. He was silenced at a relatively early age. Thankfully, God snuffed out the life of Joseph before he did even more damage here on earth. Who knows what other books he would have conjured up out of thin air, perhaps the Book of Jesus was next on his checklist of heretical writings. 10. He kept company with criminals because he himself was a villain. His militia was stocked full of ruthless and evil men, who would oftentimes intimidate judges and other elected officials. On two separate occasions, he even defrauded many of his own followers when he attempted to illegally start his own bank without a state charter.

Imagine, the Creator of the universe humbling Himself by coming to serve, suffer, and die at the hands of the very creatures He created! Why would He do this? Because His infinite love compels Him to offer salvation to those made in His image.

Jesus spent the night with both Mary Magdalene and Martha. Likely Mary was his wife and Martha was His second wife.

Ma’am I would love to see you saved and not in the bondage of this false religion. I would implore you to seek the Lord in truth. Via his word alone (not the BOM) many who have been deceived as you are have been set free. Praying for you , I hope you watch this :) youtu.be/sJVdHpJBo_c?si=uzV6…
