I'm shocked how GitHub Copilot burns out my tokens. After Github Copilot had removed Claude Opus from available models, I started using Gemini 2.5 Pro and 3 Pro models, but added them as custom models by API key. Then I started noticing how fast my money goes away. So I turned on debug mode in a Google AI studio and realized my smallest prompts takes >200k tokens and Copilot adds ton of instructions. The interesting part in Google pricing: if the prompt takes >200k tokens the price x2 higher. #ai #copilot

Found GitHub removed Claude Opus from their GitHub Copilot Pro plan without any notice, moved it to Pro plan and made it unavailabe for individuals 🥲 I love to use Copilot in an Android Studio.
