In a devastatingly sad day with the passing of Rob Hahne (
@NVTBLRobHahne), I want to share the impact he had on me.
Rob was one of the few actually willing to look at youth baseball honestly and do something about it. He brought leaders together and pushed for real change in how the game is run and how kids are supported.
As a mother of 4, a coach, and one of the very few women in this space, Rob made sure my voice was heard. He didn’t just invite me in, repeatedly, he listened. He took action. <3
He called on me to speak in rooms I didn't know existed years ago. He respected my perspective. He made sure I felt safe, supported, and included in this very male-dominated world. He was always looking out for me. Always making sure I could be present (and invited me to present/speak) at whatever he was leading.
That matters more than most people realize.
Rob, you are already deeply missed. What you started had real impact and I know the people around you will carry that forward.
Thank you for what you gave me and for what you gave to the game.
With a heavy heart, thank you.
