I retired in July 2023 and have been subbing as a principal since. I continue to learn so much. There are universal challenges in public schools but every school has their own unique challenges. I love how it keeps me on my toes.

Student after student told us, if they had to pinpoint a single person to credit for their success, the choice was “mom.” Happy Mother’s Day to all the Hoos’ mothers and motherly figures. bit.ly/3JVTOFF 🧡

Does everyone @Delta hate their jobs? I had a very challenging travel day today with delays and cancellations. It might have been better if even one @Delta employee was pleasant. From the gate agents to the flight attendant to the “help desk” at JFK - all were mean and gloomy.

The racial trouble (among many troubles) w/ discipline programs that reward "good" behavior: research shows that educators interpret behavior differently depending on students' race. If we don't fix that, at least part of what we're rewarding is whiteness.
