HELLP!! I am crying out on behalf of my people in Central Westmoreland, Whithorn & Logwood Road and surrounding areas. They are RUNNING OUT OF FOOD AND DRINKING WATER. Many People are sleeping outside on the ground at nights shelters destroyed. Looting has started. HEEELPP!!!

🚨#Update: I have taken the decision in the interest of the public and transparency to have All MPs in the affected areas will be given to ensure that they can better serve and represent their constituents.
The Opposition Leader’s request for one will also be met. The PM and other Cabinet Ministers who had theirs prior to Melissa will automatically benefit from the reprieve being granted by @Starlink. @MSETGovJM

CARILEC Disaster Assistance Programme has been activated in response to Hurricane Melissa. CARILEC mobilized its network to coordinate support even as we await the damage assessment from JPS. Several member utilities have committed to sending teams and equipment to Jamaica.
