my parents tried their damnedest to raise me english-only but the MOMENT we moved outside metro manila i happened to develop a pisonet addiction circa 2004 & to their shock started to speak straight tagalog thanks to teenage DOTA players teaching me how to use the computer
i find it bizzare that the filipino who goes to private school is made to be really non-fluent in their native language, yet fluent in just english. just the concept of that is like, counterproductive. like yeah the dude that inherits a company cant even buy fishball sure lmfao😭
