Now published in ACS Catalysis! Perspective on biomolecule functionalization via metallaphotoredox chemistry. Fabulous collaboration with amazing colleagues Maria Thedy, Milene Hornink, and Eugénie Romero. DOI:10.1021/acscatal.5c06990
Just out in Chemistry Europe - Perspective on photochemical bioconjugation in the absence of photocatalysts (doi.org/10.1002/ceur.2025002…). Brilliant effort by coauthors Milene Hornink, Maria Eduarda, and Eugénie Romero. Check it out!
Comprehensive Organic Synthesis 3rd Edition is published! Kudos to co-Editor-in-Chief Paul Knochel and all the volume editors and authors that made it possible!
Our recent Chemical Science article (doi.org/10.1039/D2SC06179A), has been chosen by Chemical Science Associate Editor Professor Ning Jiao as part of his recent Editor’s Choice collection. Congrats to team members Bianca, Jadab, Albert, Sharique and our Gutierrez collaborators!
Félicitations/Congratulations to two former group postdocs, Dr. Mathieu Jouffroy and Dr. Christopher Kelly, both of whom are at J&J, who were awarded 2025 Early Career Investigator Awards from the Division of Organic Chemistry of the American Chemical Society. Very proud!
Delighted to spend some quality time recently with Dr. Urvashi, who will begin her independent career as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Northern Michigan University.

First contribution from Université Paris-Saclay, a perspective on "Photocatalyzed Elaboration of Antibody-Based Bioconjugates" (Beilstein J. Org. Chem. 2025, 21, 616-629) in collaboration with two fabulous co-authors, Marine Le Stum and Dr. Eugénie Romero.
So pleased on this International Day of Women and Girls in Science to recognize the 111 female coworkers (past and present) that I have had the privilege to work with over the years - each one a gem, contributing enormously in their own way to the success we shared.
Some have noted the direct correlation between the timing of UPenn’s rise and catastrophic fall in college rankings to my arrival as Professor of Chemistry and departure as Professor Emeritus. I humbly take full responsibility.
