Given that I am among the 5-7% of pilots that are female, #AmeliaEarhartDay is such an important day for me as we celebrate the first female pilot to complete a solo flight across the Atlantic. She is proof that when girls dream big, we can achieve anything we set our minds to!

#Artist and #illustrator, Elizabeth Gould was born #OTD in 1804. She illustrated the bird volume of "The zoology of the voyage of H.M.S. Beagle" which includes this Short-eared owl. The specimen was presented to ZSL's Museum, John Gould identified it as a new species #womensart
