My ex boss thought I was trans for a few years and it got me thinking — my childhood as a young girl reflects a lot of trans women’s experiences, largely because of my hobbies. One of the primary talking points of TERFs is how trans women don’t have the “biological woman experience” and I’m living proof that the “biological woman experience” can be anything.
I got bullied a ton for being a tomboy and my gender was constantly under scrutiny by my peers. I stayed home and played games for the majority of my childhood, making friends online who were and still are mostly trans women.
99% of the women I grew up playing video games with had almost the exact same childhood experience as me. Most of them are trans. This whole idea that an oppressive childhood makes a woman is hilarious because children of all genders are predated on in equal numbers, all you need to do is look at the Catholic Church.
TERFs are the biggest losers. The need to make themselves feel special by making stuff up is never not going to be pathetic.
