Our cryostat is here! Both halves of the device that will be used to cool our high-temperature superconducting magnets for SPARC arrived at the CFS magnet factory this week. Next step: installation.

Last week we successfully ran hot liquid metal over a wall (under vacuum) and circulated it in a loop for 100 hours straight. This is a major engineering milestone and a significant step toward liquid metal walls in our future devices. #shiny
