Has anyone else run into this website bug on @Marriott where the site forces you to change your password, then doesn't save the password - forcing you to start the process again? Good system, that.

Thankfully the humans who answer the phones at @Marriott are more capable, and I got my reservation handled. (Even though I'm a developer, I increasingly want to talk to people for tasks like this - and experiences like this are one reason why)

I did policy debate in high school and college. I did fairly well at it, and really enjoyed the activity. That said, I would co-sign this thread with enthusiasm. There were some practices I had to de-condition myself from afterwards.

1/7 As someone who has long described himself as a recovering debater, permit me a few thoughts about high school (and college) debate as an organized extracurricular activity:

The contrast is with this thread, which matches what I've picked up about the process of scientific inquiry (albeit barely participated in myself). x.com/BrandonTBishop/status/…

This is an @EmExAstris appreciation post. She says a lot in this thread, and I appreciate hearing her perspectives.

The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum does not appear to have an account here, but - inspired by the thread on the #EdmundFitzgerald yesterday, I wanted to share their story on the wreck. shipwreckmuseum.com/edmund-f…

I've had the song running through my head all day today, and continue to find details like the haunting and fascinating.

I love this thread on code review. Thank you, @mekkaokereke - going to share this with my colleagues next week.
Watching #USAvWAL , and reflecting on how close #ArlingtonMA came to having one of its own on the field for this.

Hey @nspcode , is it possible to load Advanced Post Types Order via Composer as part of an automated deploy? I've looked over your support materials, and didn't see it addressed (maybe I missed it, though).
I have no idea whether Twitter's going down or not, but everyone seems to be sharing their other handles as a "just in case" - so here are some of mine: instagram.com/matt.j.bernhar… linkedin.com/in/morphosis7/ github.com/matt-bernhardt flickr.com/photos/morphosis7…

Rarely updated blogs (in order of recency) matt-bernhardt.github.io/ massivereportdata.com/blog/ morphosis7.wordpress.com/ While I had a Facebook account, and haven't deleted it, I won't be posting there. I haven't signed up for Mastodon yet.

Raises hand (although I also recognize that my staying up until 1AM for the window to open isn't as much of an imposition as others will go through).
Who else is staying up late in their time zone to watch the #Artemis launch?

ALT Mr. Bean starting to fall asleep in a church pew, then waking up animatedly and holding his eyes wide open with his fingers

The artwork itself is really pretty, but I particularly love the time lapse of it's creation. The music is fitting, and the chance to see how creativity comes together has always been fascinating Thank you @gdbeeart !
While I frequently love posting pictures of the "I Voted!" stickers that come with voting in every election, something about this election feels more special than usual. Democracy is special to me, and elections are particularly so.
I haven't signed up for Mastodon yet, although it feels like that's The Thing To Do at the moment. For folks who have, how did you pick what instance you signed up on? Any advice?

Maybe one of my followers will know this: is it possible to have a PHP CodeSniffer configuration inherit from a second configuration file?
