Found a geocache today to get the International Geocaching Day souvenir. I picked one of those bison tube evergreen caches this time, so it took some looking.
And... I'm done moving my files. Tried a few different approaches. Settled for using the Amazon Photos client to download the files and using rclone to upload to the destination.
Nice. A bit close to the deadline but there was finally a link to opt out of the Google Workspace switchover and keep the free legacy GSuite. Hopefully that takes care of the matter for a while.
Looks like Google will finally start charging for G Suite services or force migration to another free option in the next few months. Have to say though that *16 years* of email and productivity tools on my custom domain wasn't bad at all.
Still thinking about the GSuite Legacy sunset. It appears the only thing the no-cost option ( support.google.com/a/answer/… ) will be missing is Gmail. So why not simply create a new free Gmail account and redirect my custom domain email there with a catch-all address?
Decided to set my phone to ring only for whitelisted contacts. I didn't mind getting wrong number callers every day until some of them started getting rude about it.
