It's been an exciting couple of days since I left Arizona - one highlight being my flight to the Central Coast of CA, which had to take evasive maneuvers during the landing approach, to hop over a plane that flew under us... 😳 Hoping for a more boring flight this time! 😅

It's 8:35 pm here in AZ. I leave tomorrow AM for California & almost a month overseas. It's that point in the travel process when I start to feel frazzled about getting everything done in time. Which means it's when I stick my hair up out of the way with @Blackwing pencils! 😅

So in 24 hours, I'll be on a plane to California; and on Sunday my friend and I will fly out of LAX to begin an epic journey to England and Scotland!! It will be hard to leave my works-in-progress, but hardest of all to leave the pups! ❤️

Last night's Blue Supermoon rose out of a thundercloud! There were quick flashes of lightning off to the side, while the moon was on center stage. It was lovely to watch, and totally worth the mosquito bites.

This is my last 3 months in a nutshell. April saw my dad in the ER; May was fighting for health & mobility; June was a bout with Covid for myself & my 80 folks. Today I sliced my finger open on a metal screen.🤦‍♀️But we're climbing back up!! Yesterday my dad forgot to use a cane!

Hello World! Whew. I almost buckled under the overwhelm of the last 6 months. But this weekend the @Cubs @ChicagoCubsUK re-inspired my heart, & my valued friend @Joi_the_Artist reminded me of the ecstatic joy of history-geek obsessions! I feel ready for the 2nd half of 2023!🎇

A family of five arrives to the emergency department with "the flu." They all have headache, nausea, vomiting, and generally feel unwell. You are about to discharge them when they let you know that even their dog is sick with "the flu"! What do you think is going on? 🤔☠️

I sneaked up early in the sleety Alaskan dark to wait for a chance at @Comic_Con returning reg tickets. Like old times! Except niece (4) & nephew (3) awoke during the tech delay. "Auntie, are you done yet?" 😳😅

Kidlets are ASLEEP. 😵 I started laundry. Must wash dishes so we don't have to eat off paper plates tomorrow, clean out pet space soaked with upended water bowl, & take a shower before littles wake up for potty. Oh and: must remember to feed the food (cockroaches for the lizard).

Rat terrier *will not stop barking* at the night. Niece (age 4): "It's ok, Bud is just trying to protect us. He's a gardener." ❤️
Nephew (age 3) has just decided my name is "Four." "Hey, Four, feed the fish!" Please at least call me Red Four.

Their rat terrier is barking nonstop at imaginary beasts (or Alaskan bears, or moose) outside. Niece age 4 behind me at the back door: "I'm going outside to look at stars. I'm staying up ALL NIGHT!" I can't stop crazy laughing.
