Beginning text: Open Research Positions - Optoelectronic Materials Synthesis and Characterization The Panthani lab in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Iowa State University is currently hiring two researchers - one postdoctoral, and one at any level (BS, MS, or postdoc). These researchers will contribute to DoD- and NSF-funded research projects related to developing new synthetic methods for Group IV nanomaterials and characterizing their structural and optoelectronic properties. An ideal candidate has a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, materials science (or related disciplines) and experience in any of the following: Materials synthesis using solid state and/or colloidal chemistry; Analysis and refinement of synchrotron-based scattering data Ultrafast spectroscopic characterization of electronic/optical transitions in materials Colloidal nanomaterial assembly and optoelectronic device fabrication
