Got to be said, @sophyhenn is one of the most amazing in-person author events going. So talented, kind and unbelievably generous with her time. And possibly one of the best reactions to kid drawings in history! Thank you, and thank you @NoLimitsFest_ for once again being amazing!

Vivid and imaginative take on multiple forms of magic, and a wonderful way to open young eyes to the wickedness in history. Lots going on here, and a complex series of plots makes it a Y6 challenge, but there is a real depth of magic and history to explore. Thanks @nazneen372

Fascinating read. Amnesic main character discovering the world around her, (horror free)dystopia for MG, lots of interesting food for through with the rise of AI and great grounding for big Sci-fi questions. As always, another smashing Vashti Hardy story. Thanks @vashti_hardy

An exciting romp through a gamified dungeon. Dungeon Running is a spectator sport, with wonderful commentary from a couple of orcs bookending the chapters. Themes of friendship and underdogs having their day. LKS2 with enough tongue-in-cheek jokes for the older reader

Fantastic. Heist with a choir of unlikely characters running around prohibition New York, taking on a ruthless mobster who has stolen the ancestral home. Oceans 11 style exposition, and a wonderful main character in Vita. As always, she really does write beautiful sentences.

This could be our new rally point?
It looks like some some great Edu Folk are leaving X, but lots of great Edu Folk are staying. Pop a "hello" on the thread below so we can all follow each other and spread some X timeline positivity!

A No Limits favourite - we're pleased to announce that the lovely @JennyMcLachlan1 will be back for 2024. Her Land of Roar series remains a favourite in @Therabbits21 while her new series which follow on from her book Stink, are a hilarious read for readers aged 7 and above.

Superb. Mortal Engines with giant animals, a dose of near-magical technology and the impact of group psychology making beliefs become real. Epic battles, fascinating world building but ultimately a tale of what it means to belong. A wonderful, wonderful book. Thanks @alastair_ch

Really, really excellent. I-robot meets Cogheart. Digs deep into what makes a person a person. Beautifully paced, outrageously good levels of peril and brutality, dry and dark in places while offering hope superbly. Should have read it earlier.

Wonderful dual narrator tale of survival in the Artic. Beautifully set up, with just enough time spent developing the characters before thrusting them into peril together. Impact of climate change is shown first hand. Read at the beach to counteract the cold. Ta @EleFountain

What starts as a wonderful demon-hunting adventure swerves and unpicks what it means to be brave. We discover a world that is a lot darker once the surface is scratched. Addresses misinformation being used to corrupt- beautiful way into a tricky concept. Thank you @NotAgainBen

Deeply enjoyable excellence. A world where magic has been diluted down and is in danger of being lost. Subtle and clever, with exceptional world building and rich supporting cast. Superbly developed lead character, dialect and beautiful insights on life. Magical. Ta @ldlapinski

She’s still taking the reading in different places challenge very, very seriously this year.

Exceptional and unique. Dystopian setting, mysteries, unspoken history and well executed action. Sci-fi at its best encourages engagement with difficult and complex questions- this does so gloriously as it explores causality and the impact of choice. Thank you @alastair_ch
