A6: They (& all of us) should encourage elected officials to make men’s health a priority. One giant step is to create a federal Office of Men’s Health. There are 5 for women’s health but 0 for men. Shocking, since men’s lifespan is 5.25 years shorter than women’s. #Dadication
A6: Create male-friendly clinics—most are set up for women and that’s a big turn off for lots of guys. They also need to make sure their male and female staff are trained on men’s health issues and know how to talk to men and know what resources to recommend. #Dadication
A5: BTW, it's also important to have friends. Men are far less likely than women to have a close friend. And social isolation increases risk of depression and other mental health issues as well as physical health concerns, including cardio. #Dadication

A2: It’s perhaps the most important thing a man can do. It’s essential to have baseline readings for health indicators like blood pressure and PSA and to have a relationship with a trusted provider. #Dadication
A1: And when men do go to the doctor, particularly for mental health issues, providers often misdiagnose them because most of the diagnostic screening tools are based on flagging female symptoms of depression. #dadication
A1: At the same time, society at large tends to pigeonhole men into the role of tough guy and expects men to take one for the team, man up, or whatever. Same result: guys don’t get help when they need it. #Dadication
