What’s happening at the SFO TNC lot makes no sense. Instead of removing drivers who camp out and block space, Lyft punishes drivers who are actually trying to enter the queue.
Hey @davidrisher @flySFO if you really want to reduce traffic chaos outside the TNC lot, here’s how:

• Remove drivers from the queue if they ignore 3 ride requests.
• Prohibit card games, group hangouts, meal breaks, or prayer sessions in the lot. Too many drivers treat it like their personal lounge, even during peak demand.
The lot should be for drivers ready to work.

Hey @davidrisher, any idea why Lyft isn’t letting drivers join the SFO queue?
I dropped off a ride, didn’t get a rematch, went to the lot (it was open) but the app said the queue was full. It seems like an inaccurate reading. Hope this can get fixed for drivers. 🚘✈️

Hey @davidrisher, you keep talking about getting lawmakers to lower insurance costs. Great. But who the hell do we call to stop Lyft from taking over 50 percent of the fare even after all the external fees are already gone? Drivers are getting bled out while you play PR games 😤

Over 30% cut per ride plus external fees? @davidrisher, that’s some next-level ‘caring’ for your @lyft drivers. If this is what ‘supporting’ them looks like, I’d hate to see exploitation. Bravo on the PR lies though.

Hey @davidrisher, your team just pushed what looks like a developer build of the Lyft Direct app to drivers. Now I can’t access my earnings or even log into my Lyft Direct account. How does something this careless make it past QA?

This is what the Uber vs. Lyft driver apps looked like last night when Berkeley surged after the concerts. Many of my Uber riders said they tried Lyft first but couldn’t get matched. @davidrisher — this is the issue: a $3 bonus vs. a $20 one makes a big difference in driver pay.

And of course, Lyft charged riders 3× the regular fare last night—but drivers only received about 43% of what the rider paid (after external fees). I often hear riders say they prefer Lyft, but they can’t find one—because driver pay plays a huge role in what actually happens.

Hey @davidrisher — Lyft is offering $13.16 for a scheduled airport ride from downtown SF. And drivers must be online 30 mins before pickup — unpaid.
In 2025? In San Francisco? Drivers made more a decade ago. This isn’t gig work — it’s exploitation. #lyft

Hey @davidrisher Lyft really out here paying $16.27 for 1hr 27min and 23.9 miles—2 scheduled rides. That’s $11.20/hour before expenses. Who approved this? Fire them. Then rehire them just to fire them again. This isn’t gig work, it’s highway robbery (in reverse). #lyft

First ride with Yride last night in San Francisco—$13 for 2.18 miles, way better than what Lyft offers. I even canceled a Lyft ride ($7 for 3.85 miles) to take my first Yride. (@sergioaved👍)

As for @davidrisher, he clearly doesn’t care about drivers—acts like he’s completely deaf to our issues!
So, I just signed up for YRide along with other SF drivers, and I’m going to tell every Lyft rider to give it a try for a good reason.
