I'm adding "using frontier models" to my list of things I should have been more grateful for

OpenAI gets a $500bn Stargate launch at the White House. Anthropic gets its flagship models taken offline. OpenAI still doesn't have a Mythos competitor. The conflict-of-interest questions write themselves.

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

OK Claude Fable 5 Code Review Skill (/code-review) is absolutely mind blowing. Just upgraded to 20x and running it through a load of existing projects

Code review skill on Claude Fable 5 is AGI

Fable 5 even on low thinking seems a league ahead I'm hoping ThursdAI is going to be good from OpenAI

It's Thursday, @iruletheworldmo - before you start, stop

Refactoring a test codebase on Fable is probably the best result so far by quite some margin

Gemini Images Nano Banana, are you OK hun?

I asked Codex to look through my Windows system logs and report back on anything it could fix. It actually fixed a bunch of annoying Windows stuff I’d just learned to live with and never got round to sorting. If you’re on Windows, try it.

Replying to @AnthropicAI
Each time we release a model, we run the same test: give it code that trains a small AI model, ask the new model to speed it up. It takes a skilled human 4-8 hours to reach 4x faster. In May 2024, Claude Opus 4 averaged a ~3x speedup. This April, Mythos Preview achieved ~52x.

Gemma 4 running locally is legit cool. If you haven't tried a local model before now is the time

CODEX 5.6 Please be 5.5 but with Gemini 3.5 flash speeds πŸ™

I'm enjoying the speed of Google Antigravity 2.0 with 3.5 Flash, but can't help feel Codex has a more professional polished feel to it.
