Interesting discussion today between colleagues about the answer to the square of 81 being positive AND negative and not accepting pupils writing just positive 9.
I would accept just 9 as I am sure I read about the principle of a square number is only positive?

2024 SLC Enterprising Maths Challenge is now complete. Every pupil participated to a very high standard and should be proud of how they represented their school.
