Superman nerds... does this exist already???
Well, no. It is heat vision. Specifically, infrared radiation heat. It's not lazers like people say, so it's not photons that continue to travel indefinitely. It's a temperature manipulation through electromagnetic waves. So, that will dissipate over distance and through what is in its path, for instance; a target. He does it with his pupils if im not mistaken or at least certain eye muscles so its why he has to take the glasses off for him to focus the muscles, not so he doesnt break his glasses everytime he beams something lol.
Okay, so with that, my theory is this: He is from the sun, so that's why he can withstand cold temps. It's like a radiation suit of armor. Infrared radiation can only emit electromagnetic heat at anything above 0° Kelvin because at or below stops the movement for particles to pass heat with. Ok, so given that we know this would affect the sun itself (essentially killing the sun), I feel like it would kill him. An enemy sticks him in a chamber and cranks it down to Absolute Zero. But what about just using that concept as a shield to his heat vision? Like a chamber that is insulated with an Absolute Zero casing? Or even an enemy called Kelvin that has his own beam 😭 its so stupid. But stupid enough to work??? eyyy lol Im just kidding, I know there's no way to justify an absolute zero beam with particle physics but the chamber??? I'm sure some nerds have already thought of this. I don't know if this already exists yet in some fan made stuff or not.
