Hi all. I'm Robert, a lead product designer at NYT Games. My coworkers @NYTGuildTech and I are on strike for a fair contract--we're asking that in solidarity you don't play any of our games today: Wordle, Connections, Spelling Bee, etc. Break your streak! washingtonpost.com/style/med…
WALK WITH US: Our picket line is underway outside @nytimes on the Eighth Avenue side of the building. Come join us and show @nytimes that you support us, the workers.
You can also support our strike fund by donating here:

1 million % support. And a big point too is that we in the media aren’t good at explaining to our readers how truly invaluable the tech side is. Readers don’t see it so they don’t know, but we need to tell them that the editorial side simply could not exist without these people
We are on ULP strike. We gave @nytimes management months of notice of our strike deadline, we made ourselves available around the clock, but the company has decided that our members aren’t worth enough to agree to a fair contract and stop committing unfair labor practices.
We STILL stand with our @NYTGuildTech siblings in their fight for a contract with just cause protections, fair/equitable wages and the right to maintain the remote work standards they've always had.
Yesterday, we sent this letter to management, signed by nearly 750 @NYTimesGuild members. We stand together in support of our @NYTGuildTech colleagues. We know how important their work is to the mission of @nytimes and they deserve a fair contract.
Just here to let everyone know I am aware I'm a cliché, and a friend 10000% just texted me this tweet so I'd be sure to know how much of a cliché I am
And guess what it is FINE
As we enter Spooky Season, now is the perfect time for sharing your experiences (or lack of) of ritual games, from Ouija boards to Bloody Mary, in a survey set up by my PhD student - please share? And Happy October everyone 🎃 👻 url.uk.m.mimecastprotect.com…

This time it's ALSO bc I realize these things aren't the fun part 4 me & I was mostly looking forward to the fancy dinner afterward
Anyway, happy official tassel to the other side day to me, MA edish! 🎉
I am appropriately playing video games with demons in them and listening to audio books because I'm multimodal af.
Now that's what I call digital humanities!
