We love a collaborative math challenge! 💜 Today, these awesome 8s worked with their groups (& then joined ANOTHER group) to solve a sneaky sums problem. 10/10 for perseverance & cooperation ☺️

Happy #FirstChapterFriday to the incredible @tracichee & @tracichee only, who - a week and a half later - still has me thinking about this absolute banger of a novel #WeAreNotFree (Had to order a few more copies because my grade 8s COULD NOT WAIT to read it) 🖤

You don’t get to pick & choose which refugees seeking asylum deserve protection & a safe place to live because making the decision to save lives shouldn’t be up for debate. It is not political but simply the humane & morally correct thing to do

A few weeks late but worth the wait… The last two #FirstChapterFridays we’ve BEYOND enjoyed stories from two phenomenal authors: #Legendborn by @tracydeonn & #WeAreNotFromHere by @jetchez. All I can say about both is WHEW; these ones IMMEDIATELY flew off our bookshelf 💜💙❤️
