Excited and honored to share the stand tomorrow with Dr. Giralt, whom I have known for 2 decades, to debate transplant versus no-transplant for older, medically infirm patients with p53 MDS. To top it, I will also debate with my friend Dr. Andy Artz the same question but for younger older pts with multiple comorbidities. I am hoping it will turn to be one of the most interesting sessions I participated in and really appreciative to my colleagues in the Aging SIG for this invitation #TCT2026
Great initiative from @TheLancet in the current dark atmosphere for science and medical care. I hope other high rank journals follow suit and our community has a unified stance behind our goals and vision.
We extremely excited and honored for our study on the impact of social determinants of health on mortality and access to alloegenic hematopoietic cell transplantation for AML to be selected for a Plenary Scientific Session Presentation at ASH 2024 in San Diego CA. This is a first step to try to achieve equity in chances to cure AML for all patients regardless of their background. More to come in the future. Congratulations Dr. Natalie Wuliji for being the first author and presenter of tue abstract.
Two-step authentication HEADACHE. Airline wifi does not allow you to use wifi on both phone and laptop at the same time. So, your “second step” authentication can never be reached. If anyone found a solution how to access your wifi-dependent files on your laptop, let me know. Not
When I am not with family and not working, I am climbing mountains, steep snow and ice walls in the most diverse environment. I had a wholesome experience this weekend climbing for 20 hours, 6 hours of those I am ascending vertically on the tips of my crampons and ice tools
Manuscript rejected after 3 months because the journal couldn’t find ONE single reviewer. I hear this is an increasingly common issue across journals.
Academics, if we’re not supporting each other to move our fields forward, what are we even doing?

Making a film is alchemy. Thank you @BAFTA for presenting @Edward_Berger’s ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT with 7 #EEBAFTAs Awards including Best Film and Film Not In The English Language. Congratulations to the entire team on their well deserved wins!
Fred Appelbaum @fredhutch @fhpatientcare is always inspiring. As @ASTCT Lifetime Achievement Award winner he credits so many colleagues but also SCT nurses, APPs, pharmacists, schedulers and dieticians. We are all standing on his shoulders. #leukemia#bmtsm
Started by a discussion with a senior colleague, I enjoyed summarizing all ideas 21 years of experience into this manuscript. ashpublications.org/blood/ar…
“This table compares the characteristics and outcomes of patients on three different RCTs, BUT it should not be considered conclusive for comparison of efficacy/safety of the products used in these trials” might be a better way to describe comparison of trials table. #Tandem23
