Iโ€™ve turned off my crossposting to twitter (since itโ€™s going to die anyway with the API shutdown). I may lurk here still a bit but my stuff will be on @msroest@hachyderm.io, micro.blog/msroest or mike.roe.st

Growing an economy is a recipe. Tax cuts are an important ingredient, but not the whole dish. Public education, healthcare, broadband, infrastructure, and stable leadership are needed too. The NDP platform is a plan for a Better Future! buff.ly/3pKG3CZ

ICYMI: The Canada Pension Plan is an important part of retirement security. The plan is stable and well-managed - averaging annual 10% returns for the past decade! We can't afford to let the UCP gamble with Alberta's pensions. Their gambling has already cost us too much. #ableg

New #solar milestone yesterday in just over a month since install. We got our first net positive day. Solar generated 30 kWh and we used 29.1 kWh, had there not been a hour and a half of cloudy time the numbers would have looked even better. #solarpower #greenenergy

I was raised in rural Sask by a racist conservative christian that spoke against Indigenous people daily. Fast forward, I now stop on every trip to the mountains at the Morley, AB Subway; eating in my car and watching every interaction. I'm the only Caucasian there, and..

Trying to decide if I should try to setup octoprint for my Ender 3 V2. I love the cool timelapses that people get but I also donโ€™t want to leave my printer on all the time. Maybe a smart switch that can turn the printer on before I send a job or something. #3dprinting #octoprint

I have a crazy desire to back this Stagetop gaming table. I have 0 use for something like this as we donโ€™t really play enough games but the desire to blow 50 bucks all the filament and time is very high. #3dprinting kickstarter.com/projects/gutโ€ฆ

Finished The Last Graduate this morning on the dog walk. Another enjoyable read/listen. Maybe not quite as good as the first book but still really worth the price of admission (even when it required buying extra audible credits so I didnโ€™t have to ... mike.roe.st/2023/01/28/2631/
