ANNOUNCEMENT! I have officially joined the land of Substack. It was probably inevitable. But I'm very excited about the opportunities the platform affords. And most of all, looking forward to making insufferable people's heads explode mtracey.substack.com/p/offic…

Michael Tracey needs to testify in front of Congress. The Epstein spell needs to be broken. Make it happen, Richard.

It's very possible to have "concerns" about things without scurrilously declaring it "pedophilia." This isn't hard to grasp
Replying to @mtracey
A 30 year old man grooming a teenager is actually a legitimate concern. Like what the hell are we even debating this for?

Everyone agrees actual pedophilic predation against actual children is bad. Here's the problem: hysterical mobs have so radically distended the term "pedophile," and turned it into a knee-jerk political attack, that they've diluted any legitimate concerns about actual pedophilia

I wish I loved anything as much as this guy loves defending pedos.

Man you people are dumb. Stop outsourcing your brains to garbled AI google searches. SEE: New York Penal Law § 130.05 (3) (a) If you don't like the law, feel free to lobby the state legislature

Are you saying a 38 yo can have a sexual relationship with a 17 year old in NY? If you are, it means you have something to hide... Just google "can a 38 year old date a 17 year old in new york" and you get this:

If your opinion is that Jerry Seinfeld's romantic relationship in the 1990s was "unacceptable," I guess you are entitled to that opinion (despite you knowing next to nothing about the details) but regardless, "I find this unacceptable" is lightyears away from "He's a pedophile"
Replying to @mtracey
A 30 year old banging a high school student just because it's "legal" doesn't make it acceptable behavior. I love "Seinfeld" the show, but his relationship with that kid was totally inappropriate.

I guess the "bubble" I live in must include rural Missouri, because that's where I was last week. Come to think of it, I'm reasonably certain I've been to a far greater range of politically-diverse areas across the United Sates than you have. But OK, sure -- if you wore Trump paraphernalia in certain places, it's possible you could be heckled here and there, just like if you wore Trans Lives Kamala paraphernalia in other places. So friggin' what? I was actually just on a shuttle at Newark Airport in NJ with a guy who was wearing a garish golden "Trump 45-47" hat, and nobody gave a shit. That's the point: for the most part, nobody will really give a shit what you're wearing, and on the off-chance somebody does scoff at you because you're deliberately going around broadcasting what you know to be politically controversial messages on your clothing, you're just a big baby if you extrapolate this into some kind of self-pitying victim narrative. Trump has won two presidential elections, Republicans control every branch of government, and you guys still can't get over the perpetual victimhood complex because a hypothetical blue-haired 20-something in Portland, OR or Portland, ME might be a bit rude to you for six seconds. Get over it already
He lives in a bubble. I didn’t even tell him to wear a MAGA hat in a city like NY

When you call someone a "pedophile," and claim they've committed pedophilic sex acts, you are effectively accusing them of a crime. If you're just using "pedophile" as another casual synonym for "piece of shit," YOU'RE the one who's guilty of a crime against the English language
Replying to @mtracey
Legality and morality are two different things. Show me the people suggesting JS should’ve been arrested. Mostly we’re just saying he’s a piece of shit. Also the parents pimping out their kid to an older rich dude is not really a defense.

Hmm, if Jerry Seinfeld is a "pedophile" because several decades ago, when he was in his 30s, he had a girlfriend whom he first met when she was 17, and whom he then spent four years in a relationship with, it must be the case that "pedophilia" is legally authorized in New York State, because everything about the relationship was perfectly legal under New York State law. It also must've been the case that the girlfriend's parents supported the pedophile crime spree, since they were reported at the time to have enthusiastically supported her relationship with Seinfeld. The couple must've also been surprisingly unafraid to flaunt their pedophile conspiracy in public.
Jerry Seinfeld is a pedophile.

Depends how you define "full on ground invasion." Invading and occupying the entire country? Slim odds -- not enough troops in theater for that. However, he did just say he's planning to invade the Kharg Island to seize Iran's oil assets. That would be a form of "ground invasion"
Replying to @mtracey
What are the odds Trump just starts a full on ground invasion of Iran?

Once again, please define "Epstein class." If you welcome their hatred so much, shouldn't you be able to explain who qualifies for class membership? Is it anyone who ever had a friendly interaction with Epstein? Noam Chomsky? Steve Bannon? Katie Couric? Lewis Black? Dick Cavett?
I welcome the hatred of the Epstein class.

Wondering what #PedoGate is? Apparently another rehash of a psychotic person calling up the FBI — this one claiming he saw TV personality Robin Leach murder a young girl and bury her behind the 19th hole at Trump's golf course. Insane that this shit still gets presented as "news"

If you've interacted enough with the general public, you know how insane it would be to simply report everything you've ever been told by anyone via public "tip line," because mentally disturbed people constantly claim to have seen/heard/experienced things that they 100% made up

This is true enough, but it also wasn't too long ago that it somehow got collectively decided that the "OK" hand gesture symbolized White Supremacy and/or Nazism -- so the lack of reciprocal goodwill on questions of purported "hate symbols" should not be all that surprising
It really is as simple as this for the vast majority of voters. When you say “Nazi tattoo” normal people think swastika. Then people find out it’s this and the Republicans look silly.

Hey @FmrRepMTG: Out of curiosity, how many "Epstein Files" have you actually read? If you're so convinced that there's a giant "coverup" in progress to protect legions of "pedophiles and rapists," why don't we go point-by-point to evaluate the evidentiary basis for this claim?
