Peter Theil says the reason the Paypal mafia exists today isn't because of his hiring techniques but how he managed those people.
Things like extreme bias for action, cult-like company culture, and "one thing" management philosophy. Founders must understand how it works:

@EmiratesNBD_AE getting fraud calls from 971564214945 asking for my emirates Id and threatening with blockage of account etc. I told them to take a hike - but you guys should look into this.

I want to call this out in case it wasnt evident:
Sales is a tough job.
They could use a bit of love. Most non sales founders dont get this. I do want to say this:
Dont put the sales person in a corner. Noone is happier than them when they close an account.
