Version 2.0 is now available to test 🙌 Sign up to join the beta via this link play.google.com/apps/testing…. This is a BIG update. I’m sorry it took as long as it did, but I hope you’ll at least agree the delayed reveal wasn’t underwhelming and didn’t disappoint.

I can’t do multi-social network broadcasting. Too much of a time sink. If you want to catch my dev latest, check me out at mas.to/@bardi. Currently sharing more on my experience of a building a Mac MVP in SwiftUI.

Why is the default system delay for a tooltip to appear on a Mac ~2 seconds! I thought the .help modifier wasn’t working. Most would not know/bother to wait, and incorrectly assume the same.

To reduce it to a more reasonable (immediate) delay: apple.stackexchange.com/a/32…

I’m currently building for the Mac for the first time. Strange how I have no creative appetite to break convention here, unlike iOS.

On iOS too, I’m learning — the hard way — it’s best to keep it native stupid: blog.timing.is/redesigning-a….

Safari web apps in Sonoma have arrived pretty late but oh so, so welcome!

KeyboardKit 8 is finally out! 🚀 This is a huge update, that I've been working on for so long. Besides the new version, I've build a brand new site and added a 7 day free trial and monthly plan to Pro. Any feedback and sharing would be greatly appreciated. keyboardkit.com/blog/2023/10…

Today is a good day. I have my first user who forgot to cancel their trial.

A concerning low trial activation rate in timing’s onboarding. Could be for 1/x reasons. Love how @RevenueCat Paywalls lets me change its CTA with no app update required, to see if the string is not helping. “Start Free Trial” -> “Start 7 Day Free Trial”👨🏽‍🔬

This is a risky bet, but working carefully to make timing be your Swiss Army calendar. A tool for time in your pocket! One misstep though = potential bloatware. Requires A design and meticulous execution. 🤞🏽

For when you want to start an ad-hoc timer, simply long-press the [ ], start a timer, decide how long for and then... focus! #productivity

(Almost a year into dev...) There are some bugs you come across that make you feel a bit sick to learn they’ve been around since day zero 🤢

It was so good to see you @danielsaidi. To talk indie shops, productivity, SwiftUI etc. Wish we lived in the same city! Would be extremely beneficial for this lonely indie soul. Looking forward to the @GetKeyboardKit 8.0 release soon 🎹 Bet you will crush it in 2024 & beyond!
Having landed in Sweden after a 💯 @swift_leeds conference, I just wanted to take a moment to say how amazing it was to meet so many of you there! Too many to name, but it was just 🤩 And @mtrostyle, sooo nice to hang out with you in London. Thank you for a wonderful day!

I don’t Google it. I “Hacking with Swift” it. Genuinely. @twostraws

.@RevenueCat’s Paywalls 🔥 Such a breeze to setup. Being a pixel perfecter™, really happy they allow you to conveniently outsource the tedious bits of the purchase flow, and empower you to build your own designs in native. Turned this one around in record time!

The best technology is the most invisible. You couldn’t tell I’m using a third-party for this. Great work team!

The product of experimental weekends. Really happy with how this one turned out. Excited to meaningfully integrate music next... @rudrank 🤙🏽

We don’t want timing to just _show_ your tasks. We want it to actively help you get _through_ your lists. This is why we’ve added support for timers ⏳ Estimate any task, and hit the [Play] button to time your focus. That easy! Try it at timing.is/live :)

Also what I’m maybe most happy about is I finally found a natural spot to drop @movingpartsio’s Poof transition 😎

I spent the morning doing some Kotlin. Feeling codesick :( Particularly longing for Swift flavoured enums.
