After a succesful day of workshops on Sunday, we just kicked off Monday by a wonderful keynote by @hfhastie on #Trustworthy #HRI. She discussed various factors such as language, social cues, embodiment, transparency, mental models, and theory of mind. 🙌

Delighted to share that my PhD Student approaching submission has been accepted at the prestigious ACM Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces (ACM IUI) 2024 (iui.acm.org/2024/) Doctoral Consortium.
His topic will cover how to estimate Human’s Trust in Robots in HRI.

The situation in the UK is not that different. According to a Royal Society study, only 3.5% of those who completed their PhDs in scientific areas become permanent research staff, and then only 12% (or 0.45% overall) of them become professors. Link: royalsociety.org/topics-poli…
