I've been watching the Le Mans coverage on HBO Max here in the States. I'm not sure how many others are broadcasting in English, but one thing...these guys never shut up. Can we have a feed with just Video and the car sounds?
Well, It's a Black and white "Wing Wednesday". I don't usually post B&W photos, but we're doing it today, and in honor of Le Mans Week, we've got Porsches and Ferraris. The Ferrari Daytona doesn't have a wing, but who cares? From "when they were new".
I was Kayaking on the Halifax River this morning and Dolphins were everywhere. A pair of them came up to and beneath my boat as they were playing. They usually don't come so close but they rocked my boat and splashed me. One of the best River days ever.
Well, It's a "We Miss Colin Bull" Porsche post today. A tribute to our friend Colin. From "when they were new", and a new one for him as well. He was our friend. May He RIP.
It's a "Whatever Wednesday" and I'm posting my favorite Motorcycle Helmets. I've had Bell, Shoei and Arai. All just fine. These two are retired now, well out of date. Let's see your favorites!
The River was glassy smooth yesterday morning and Dolphins were all over the place. One cruised right by me. I liked the Mom and her little one the best. She steered away from my boat and I stopped paddling and took out my phone. I love Dolphins!
Racing the way it used to be. They can't do this today on Pit road. The Wayne Baker team had their 935 all apart on Sunday morning in 1984 and they still came home 5th. What an effort! From "when they were new".
It's my weekly Garden update. The Sunflower plants in the front have just started blooming. They've grown really tall. I add paracord covered with pool noodles to help keep them upright from strong winds during storms. Have a great weekend! Tim
Our friend Adriano posted that it is Danny Ongais birthday. He was a great driver and could drive just about anything fast. I was fortunate to see him drive at Daytona. So, a tribute to Danny on his birthday. May He RIP.
Well, It's a "Wing Wednesday" and we're going back, way back, to Daytona. First to 1977 and then 1984. And so you know the cars the wings belong to I'm posting front end views as well. These should make our Porsche fans happy! From "when they were new".
Well, It's my weekly Garden Update. First photo is from last week, others are from this morning. I can't wait for the Sunflowers in my front Garden to start blooming. And a shout out to @pjlm I hope the weather is good for the race!
Weekly Garden Update. First photo was taken May 1st. Second photo was taken this morning. We got some much needed rain last night and more is in the forecast. It's been very dry here in Florida. I hope everyone is well today! Tim
