I grew up with a phone
But we didnโt use them in school - otherwise we would be grounded.
We didnโt sit on them all day - we were always playing football
If we did something wrong - it was taken away
Our parents would check what we were doing, messaging posting etc and if they thought you were misusing it - you were in the doghouse.
This generation isnโt special
Social media has gotten safer and there are more restrictive tools now than there was then
Parents have just gotten lazier
