before a loved one passed away; they gave me bank cards and their pins; gave me passwords and pension fund documents and other stuff. When death comes, we are never really prepared for taking over the little things or armed with this info. Factor in grieving the loss!

I’ve since prepared a folder with similar info for myself; should anything happen to me, my people should know what’s what and where to find things. #growingUp

How often do you read books / listen to audiobooks? What’s the last one you read / listened to?

The thing about too many choices, is one wound up fulfilling ideological emotional needs as opposed to doing things that practically work. These last several decades have been spent replacing what works, with what feels good.

Every situation you face starts in your mind. It's not the event that determines your outcome. It's your interpretation of that event.

Two people can face the same storm. One builds a boat; the other breaks. …because of the meaning they attach to it. Instead of panicking, we should observe, breathe, think, and then act with clarity.

We've been conditioned to react. From an early age, we're trained to snap back when insulted, to panic when things go wrong, to lash out when hurt, to run away when afraid.

Reactivity is the mind's autopilot. Autopilot never wins. Reactivity comes from fear, ego, and emotion, etc. It creates more chaos than clarity. When you react without thinking, you give away your power.

What is the one thing that people will scream at you, if your life was a movie, and we were watching? You know how we scream at the tv, don’t go into d house, the killer is still there! Someone is following you, look behind you? Don’t go that way there is a booby trap, etc.

That’s the one thing you must work out right away in your life. Whatever little step towards sorting that out is where you should begin.

truth most people don't like to admit is that success is never just a skill, and failure is never just a mistake. …behind the scenes, there are two invisible forces that are always at work; luck and risk.

luck and risk shape our lives, often in ways we don't even notice. We don't like to admit that because luck feels unfair and risk feels scary. But ignoring them doesn't make them go away.
