We know what our city should be doing.
Effective mobility planning is much more than moving people from A to B. It allows cities to reimagine streets as places to stay rather than pass through. Amsterdam’s De Pijp neighborhood is doing exactly that; removing most of its on-street car parking with spectacular results.

Happy Fourth of July & long weekend, friends! Weather & summer festivities are are hitting up in Seattle, so many people visiting our city. Stay cool & hydrated! And please stay safe out there, we have completely lost control of traffic violence and drivers breaking law & order.

I really don’t know what the city’s plan is in addressing the traffic violence. It is legit scary out there, so dangerous & unsafe — complete breakdown of law & order and drivers just doing whatever they want — that’s why it’s so disorderly, chaotic, and such a mess out there.

there’s currently bunch of LOUD, speedy sports cars driving on Denny from Capitol Hill to 1st Avenue — perhaps another day of drag racing and donuts & tricks on 15th Ave in Lower QA & Interbay? If you’re heading down to Waterfront & Seattle Center, please be safe & stay alert!

the amount of traffic violence & road rage on Capitol Hill is really scary lately, but especially this weekend, holy moly. You know it’s a big weekend in Capitol Hill, no one should be driving here, but public transportation, emergency crews, and delivery of goods & services.

I freaking love last pride weekend on Capitol Hill, streets are closed to cars and filled with people! How it should be! So much fun people watching Tomorrow is the finale day, so it’s going to be a BUSY day in Seattle, so please don’t drive here and leave the roads open.

Hi friends, Happy Pride Weekend! Just checking in to say hi! June turned out to be a crazy month for me, last three weeks have been super busy with work taking me all over the place to Olympia, Bellevue, and Everett, I put quite the mileage on my orca card and grateful we have

and oh boy, speeding, racing, bullying, traffic, running on red lights, and running through stop signs are so out of control in Seattle, please stay safe out there. Drivers are so unhinged in their massive-sized vehicles, they’re seriously not okay nor care about others.

s/o to all our public transportation operators navigating such a congested & hostile roads every day — it is incredibly unfair & unjust what they have to deal with every single day — seeing how other drivers treat them breaks my heart. There biggest threat is the drivers.

sunny & busy weekend — road work, revisions, and closures and jam-packed summer festivities & events and graduation — please leave the road open for construction & emergency crews, those who need vehicle assistance, and deliveries of goods & services — please drive slow & sober!
Another busy, sunny summer weekend is ahead of us, filled with commencement ceremonies, several runs, & yes, road closures. Which means, Paint Map time! Expect travel delays statewide, be kind to our crews & use caution in work zones. Congratulations to all of the graduates! 🎓

I’m on first and Jackson watching family of five on scooters and driver who almost hit them arguing right now — gonna stay just in case things escalate. Driver is being mean to them and person who looks like the dad is videotaping this argument.

I’m glad they’re all fine, but this is incredibly sad & unfortunate — they’re visiting one of the most expensive cities in the world on a family trip, ruined by a **itty driver — one of the kids was holding mariners store bag. I just told them I’m sorry that just happened. ☹️

I worry about their visit to pike place market, if they haven’t checked that off yet — they’re going to be dodging cars there too.

sounds so fun! Please tell me ⁦@pike_place⁩ will be close off to cars! ——> “Pike Place Market presents a brand new busker festival, Buskarama! Bringing back the spirit of past busker festivals, this event will activate the Market’s 15 busker spots.” loveseatown.com/events/post/…

saw this car with “Washington State Trip Permit” — never seen a permit like this before, so I looked up to see what it is and it’s a permit for unlicensed vehicles. I still don’t get it after reading about it. Can someone explain to me as simple as possible what this is & for?

about to cross 4th Ave. & Washington on walk sign, when a driver in white Chevy Silverado just straight up ran on red @ high speed and noticed phone on their hand, horizontally! Meaning they were watching something! This was the same intersection of fatal collision two weeks ago!

People need to understand that translators need to be acknowledged for the work they’ve done & many of them have massive impact on sales (even bigger than the authors themselves) and are some of the biggest advocates for fairness in translated works and publishing industry.

I either have enough clout for my name to appear on the book cover or I don’t have enough clout to help promote the book. It’s one or the other. You can’t have both.
