According to Kenyan newspaper The Standard, controversial Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo and his partners have secured a US$2.9 billion (KSh375 billion) deal to reconstruct Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
His company, IMC Construction Kenya, is part of a joint venture with two Chinese state owned giants, CRBC and CCCC. On Monday evening, Chivayo was seen at State House in Nairobi with President William Ruto shortly before the President departed for the G7 Summit in Paris.
