I want you to reread the first line you wrote and try to apply that logic to AI. When artist study another artstyle, itโs study and retain useful skills to use them as their style EVOLVES. With ai, you feed it the art and it shits out mediocre examples of said techniques used.

Art has always advanced with copying and practicing other's styles so that's a poor argument. AI doesn't steal since nothing is deprived.
Free Use, Public Domain and even some ToS people agree to for hosting servers/websites etc do sometimes have clauses as well.
