Pranaam
@SanjeevSanskrit ji, I do support/collaborate with people I have disagreements with.
BTW, note that your request to "support their Mahabharat vision" triggered my reply.
Why is this a big deal?
We Sanatanis have a lot stacked against us & have to be thorough. If a case is built for the historicity of Mahabharata based on a fake date, it will collapse like a pack of cards one day. That's why it's a big deal.
Vyasa DID give MANY astronomical pointers & there IS a real date that fits all.
But, sadly,
@prachyam7 put their donated funds to use to promote a fake date advanced by someone I (and several others) see as a snake oil salesman.
Misjudgments are ok, but what offends me even more is their CAVALIER attitude in completely ignoring many scholars who pointed out Oak ji's fakery ahead. They could've AT LEAST accommodated other views. Instead, they went full steam ahead with the fake date (off by more than 2,000 years).
And now, their reach makes it difficult for genuine researchers working selflessly for Truth & Dharma to push the correct date into public consciousness. This is quite unfortunate and, frankly, adharmik.
And, mind you, Mahabharata is the bedrock of Bharata's Itihasa! What a disservice.. 😢
Anyone who attended
@mmpandit's workshops at IIT-Delhi or elsewhere can thoroughly debunk Oak ji's work & explain why 3067 BCE fits everything. If someone says, "your face is like a full Moon", Oak ji takes that day to be a Full Moon day. He thus mistakes many analogies for astronomical references, but leaves out so many actual astronomical references (they don't fit his date anyway).
Unfortunately, after this, questions remain on the credibility & sincerity of Prachyam.
