Alright folks, we have a big ask: we need to raise at least $25,000 for our upcoming winter field season and are aiming to do so by November 16, which is Minnesota’s Give to the Max Day—a day of giving in Minnesota.
See photos below re: the kind of work we do during winter!
ALT Part of our winter work entails quickly responding to mortalities of any collared wolves. In Winter 2021-2022, Wolf V079 died of starvation and this is how we found his body.
ALT Much of our winter work is spent deploying and maintaining our >200 trail cameras spread across a roughly 750 square mile area take.
ALT And the goal of doing all the trail camera work is to get many observations of each wolf pack in the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem so we can understand how many wolves are in the pack, pack composition, and the number of pups that survived.
