Today, we joined @GovMikeDeWine at the @RockefellerFdn’s Big Bets for America convening in Cleveland, bringing together leaders to accelerate economic growth and scale innovative solutions to the country's most pressing challenges.
The convening included important discussions on Ohio’s workforce and the STEM and technical skills employers need now more than ever.
During the event, we announced the @JobsOhio Experiential Learning Initiative, a $300 million investment designed to strengthen the state’s talent pipeline. The initiative will empower employers to build their workforces through experiential learning pathways, including apprenticeships, co-ops, and internships.
The first phase of the initiative will include a technician earn-and-learn program that connects Ohioans with high-wage technician roles.
Team Ohio’s big bet? Ohio’s best-in-class workforce.
As the states continue to experience significant economic growth with more than 148,000 new job commitments since 2019, we’re committed to helping more Ohioans develop skills that lead to meaningful careers in the state’s most advanced industries.

Another major win for Ohio's aerospace & defense industry.
@AeroVironment announced plans that it is investing $15 million to expand advanced production capabilities in Beavercreek and Xenia—creating 200 new jobs, retaining 55, and adding 44,000 square feet of pilot-scale and mid-volume manufacturing capacity for advanced biotechnology and mission-critical defense systems.
The expansion deepens @AeroVironment's footprint just minutes from @WrightPattAFB and the @AFResearchLab—and is expected to generate an estimated $28 million in annual regional economic impact.
The expansion reflects the strength of Ohio's skilled manufacturing workforce and the state's ability to help companies move from prototype to production with speed and precision.
