Unescorted access has never been an issue in any other administration including President Trump’s first term but now all of a sudden it’s a national security issue and the security of the Pentagon campus is apparently under threat.
STATEMENT:
The Court granted the Department's request for a fourteen-day administrative stay while the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals considers the Department's appeal. The Department will seek an emergency stay from the D.C. Circuit to preserve the security of the Pentagon during the pendency of the appeal.
Journalists do not have unescorted access to the building but will continue to have press credentials and access to all press briefings, press conferences, and interviews.
