🟡 The Virtue of Ribaat and How to Get the Same Virtue, By Allah’s Permission 🟡 Ribaat means standing guard at the edge of the land’s border with the right intention, to protect the Muslims And the virtue of those Muraabit (those doing Ribaat) is mentioned in this hadeeth: In Sahih Muslim Salman Al-Farisi, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ((Ribaat for a day and a night is better than fasting the days of a month and its Qiyam (voluntary prayer at night). If one dies in Ribaat, his regular righteous deeds that he used to perform will keep being added to his account, and he will receive his provision, and will be saved from the trials of the grave. )) And this other hadeeth mentions some specific good deeds that it’s hoped one gets the same virtue of a Muraabit, as explained by Shaykh Ibn Baaz, may Allah have mercy upon him: Also in Sahih Muslim, from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet ﷺ said: ((Shall I tell you about actions with which Allah forgives sins and raises one’s level? Performing perfect wudoo in uncomfortable conditions, the many steps one takes to the Masajid, and awaiting prayer after the prayer; this is the Ribaat, this is the Ribaat, this is the Ribaat.))

Allah said in surah furqan وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ {And I have made some of you as a trial for others. Will you have patience?} Also in Sahih Muslim it is narrated from Iyad bin Himar that the Messenger of Allah said: يَقُولُ اللهُ تَعَالى إِنِّي مُبْتَلِيكَ وَمُبْتَلٍ بِك Allah says:"I will test you and test others by means of you." ===== Just as this whole life is a test… So are your relationships and interactions with other human beings also a test… The poor should not be jealous of the rich The short should not be jealous of the tall Those without children should not be jealous of those with children Etc… How are you being both patient and thankful with what Allah has chosen for you based on everything you see around you from who might appear to have more than you and who might appear to have less than you? It’s all part of the test.

Allah تعالى said to His Prophet ﷺ what means: {And do not grieve over them, nor be in distress because of what they plot.} Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله said: “Indeed, when the caller to Allah has done what is obligatory upon him, then he should not grieve over the opposition of the people, due to Allah’s statement: {And do not grieve over them}. And the wisdom behind that is that a person’s grief over the people’s opposition hinders him from calling to Allah, and he becomes worn out because of them; for the soul cannot continue onward and proceed while it is sorrowful. Rather, proceed according to what you have been commanded. If the people are guided, then it is for you and for them. And if they are not guided, then it is for you and against them. For this reason, when a person becomes saddened in these matters, he falls into despair and exhaustion, and his chest is not expanded, nor does his soul become at ease.” - Tafsir Suratun-Naml, verse 70

The great scholar of hadeeth Al-Albaani رحمه الله said: “We set emotions aside and do not give them room, so we don’t introduce into the religion of Allah that which is not from it under the claim of loving the Prophet ﷺ. For true love is only through ittibaa’ (following), not through ibtidaa’ (innovation), as Allah The Most High said (to His Prophet ﷺ to tell the people): {Say: If you truly love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you}.” - At-Tawassul (p. 117)

Shaykh Saalih ibn Fawzan Al-Fawzan, may Allah preserve him, explained: “This Sunnah has been abandoned to the point that people have begun to find it strange to make duaa for the rulers, and they think badly of the one who does it. Making duaa for the rulers of the Muslims for them to have success and righteousness is from the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah, while abandoning it is from the methodology of the people of innovation.” Al-Mulakhkhas Al-Fiqhi (1/201)

‘Umar ibn Al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said: “Indeed, people used to be judged by revelation during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but revelation has now ceased. So now we judge you based on what is apparent to us from your actions. Whoever shows us good, we trust him and bring him close, and we have nothing to do with his inner secrets. Allah will call him to account for his inner state. And whoever shows us evil, we do not trust him nor do we believe him, even if he says: ‘My inner state is good.’” (Saheehul-Bukhari)

صح عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه في فضائل سورة الملك: أنه قال رضي الله عنه: يُؤتى الرجل في قبره، فتؤتى رجلاه فتقولان: ليس لكم على ما قِبَلنا سبيل، قد كان يقرأ علينا سورة الملك. ثم يُؤتى جوفه فيقول: ليس لكم عليَّ سبيل، كان قد أوعى فيَّ سورة الملك. ثم يُؤتى رأسه فيقول: ليس لكم على ما قِبَلي سبيل، كان يقرأ بي سورة الملك. قال عبد الله رضي الله عنه: وهي المانعة تمنع من عذاب القبر، وهي في التوراة: هذه سورة الملك، ومن قرأها في ليلة فقد أكثر وأطيب. رواه عبد الرزاق (٣/ ٣٧٨) وعن مُرَّة بن شَراحيل، عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال: إن الميت إذا مات أوقدت نيرانٌ حوله، فتأكل كل نار ما يليها إن لم يكن له عمل يحول بينه وبينها. وإن رجلًا مات لم يكن يقرأ من القرآن إلا سورةً ثلاثين آية، فأتته من قِبَل رأسه فقالت: إنه كان يقرأ بي. فأتته من قبل رجليه، فقالت: إنه كان يقوم بي. فأتته من قبل جوفه فقالت: إنه كان وعاني. قال: فأنجته. قال مُرَّة: فنظرت أنا ومسروق في المصحف، فلم نجد سورة ثلاثين آية إلا تبارك. رواه القاسم بن سلام في "فضائل القرآن" (ص٢٦٠) المصدر :👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 t.me/fawaz_awaddi/1002
