Today, @NCCommerce announced extension of the public comment period for the state’s Opportunity Zone nomination process. The extended deadline to submit nominations is now 11:59 pm on June 21, providing local leaders and the public an additional two weeks to provide feedback.
The Opportunity Zone Program is a federal tax incentive encouraging long-term private investment in economically distressed census tracts. Submit comments/nominations on locations that qualify for consideration by June 7. commerce.nc.gov/data-tools-r…
