not on here very much anymore but in case you didn't know, I have a book coming out in April, called The Amendments, it's about love, forgiveness, etc. Thrilled to have early words of encouragement from Emma Donoghue & Joseph O'Connor (find me on Instagram and Substack)
Introducing @neevkm's haunting debut novel. At once a family saga, and a state-of-the-nation novel, The Amendments tells the story of three women and their struggles to find love, meaning and freedom in a changing Ireland. Available to pre-order now: buff.ly/3FxFctW

The book that has impacted me the most this year.
This is non-fiction’s Milkman. Devastating, powerful, heartbreaking & breaking open the dark claustrophobia of Republican West Belfast. I’ve never read anything like it. A book can’t undo so much suffering but it is an amazing reclamation of agency. 💔@HoZ_Books @cahillbooks

Drove five hours to a studio in Offaly/Westmeath border and forgot my cello! Wondering if I could borrow a cello from anyone living near by?? There’ll be a cup of tea in it for you and maybe a biscuit? Xx

I am concerned about the Incitement to Violence or Hatred and Hate Offences Bill. It is very easy to imagine a future in which it is weaponized against the very minorities it seeks to protect. If you have not read it - it is here: data.oireachtas.ie/ie/oireac…

I find the Succession sibs deeply relatable and not just because I have three brothers, an Irish name and an uxorious spouse called Tom.

Have they changed the ending to the Witches? It was so dark and sad that the little boy wants to stay a mouse so he can die when his grandma does.

just remembered I bought The Witches with my First Holy Communion money and was scared shitless by it, my mother complained to the bookshop, a week later later it was the best book I had ever read & I was furious at the film when they they didn't stay mice at the end
