“Trillions” used to describe GDP, government spending, or the largest public companies; now it is becoming the language of private markets. @prathreddy and I unpack what that shift means in Episode 29 of Founder Notes: “Trillions Is the New Billion.” open.spotify.com/episode/62Q…

The lesson from Q1 was not that private credit has no risk. It was that risk needs to be measured with data, not headlines. @prathreddy and I covered net flows, gates, AUM, Anthropic, OpenAI, Claude, rates, and the Nasdaq in Episode 28. open.spotify.com/episode/3uf…

In Episode 27 of Founder Notes, @prathreddy and I discuss why banks need private credit to work, how back-leverage keeps them winning either way, and what the CDX Private Credit Index signals about market maturity. open.spotify.com/episode/5NH…

On this day two years ago, I wrote to our team about intellectual stamina. One of the most underrated leadership traits is holding a strong vision while knowing when part of it needs to evolve. The best companies iterate without losing conviction. nelsonchu.co/home/intellectu…

A stronger secondary market will not solve every private-credit concern overnight. But over time, it can make the asset class more transparent, resilient, and functional. Appreciate @TheEconomist highlighting that trend and including @investpercent. economist.com/finance-and-ec…

Private credit redemptions are dominating headlines, but the real question is whether the issue is credit quality or liquidity design. @prathreddy and I unpack that, plus software loan markdowns, BNPL rules, and founder endurance. EP 25 is live: open.spotify.com/episode/0l7…

We told everyone to specialize for 50 years. AI is starting to reward the opposite. The biggest shift is not job replacement. It’s the collapse of structural need for many narrow roles. My latest in Forbes: forbes.com/councils/forbeste…

On this day two years ago, I wrote to our team about resilience. Half of the 2018 startup vintage was gone within five years. Only 381 of 3,000 remained. Every extra year builds judgment, trust, and staying power. That is how you beat the odds. nelsonchu.co/home/beating-th…

Fear gets monetized quickly. AI job anxiety is now being packaged into odds, tools, and betting markets. That says as much about this moment’s psychology as it does about the technology itself. Piece from @axios featuring my comments: axios.com/2026/03/17/ai-job-…

On this day two years ago, we brought Navtej S. Nandra in to share his perspective in our all-hands meeting. His framework for startup success was simple: demand strategy, resourcing, execution, culture, and discipline. Two years later, it still holds. nelsonchu.co/home/changing-t…

Tested it out and Nick is really onto something, a project worth keeping an eye on for sure
singularity engine recap (was up til 5 am again) 38 builds. 19 users. zero downtime. people tweeted ideas, got working apps back in ~30 seconds. games, dashboards, timers, tools — all live on github pages with their own URLs. the big idea isn't tweeting from twitter. it's running multiple builder bots in the cloud without the weight of a full local setup like openclaw. lightweight, API-driven, scalable. Handing off the torch🔥 to my 🤖 for future builds: DM @SingularityEngn directly with build requests. E.G. @SingularityEngn build me a page introducing yourself (singularityengine.ai) and how you like/hate your job.
