This is the 700 year old Milnholm Cross, found near Newcastleton in the Borders.
It was raised to remember an important member of the Armstrongs and if you look closely, you can just make out a sword on the shaft as well as the curled arm of the Armstrong crest at the top
The idyllic village of Newcastleton is the perfect spot to get away for some leisurely outdoor pursuits, whether that's cycling or walking, fishing or horseriding, that is entirely up to you!
